The Athens Environmental Foundation (AEF) supports and encourages
participation in the 3rd Modern Nemean Games, which will be held on July 31, 2004
and August 1, 2004.
The ancient Greeks celebrated festivals at Nemea that were part of the cycle
of games at Olympia, Delphi and Isthmia. These ancient games are direct ancestors
to today's modern Olympics.
On July 31, members of AEF's board of directors will participate in the 100m
and 7500m footraces of the Modern Nemead. On August 1st, a tree in AEF's Global
Olive Wreath will be planted at the Ancient Nemea Stadium site.

UC Berkeley Professor Stephen Miller discovered the site of the Ancient Nemea
games, and has been the catalyst of their revival.
