ATHOC- The ATHENS 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games
|
|
|
|
ATHOC, the organization responsible for the preparation and hosting of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games has partnered with AEF in a coastal clean event in the Olympic perimeter of the 2004 Olympic Games, on June 5, 2004 and in honor of World Environment Day.

UNEP's mission is To provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.

ISA - The International Society of Arboriculture
|
|
|
|
The ISA is a scientific and educational institution that has been supporting
global tree care for over 70 years. ISA is supporting AEF's Global Olive Wreath project with its
many chapters around the world providing their expertise in the planting and care of trees.

|
WOA - The World Olympians Association
|
|
|
|
The WOA is an independent global organization the represents all Olympic athletes.
The WOA has signed a declaration of cooperation with AEF form the promotion of the Olympic Ideals,
urging participation by World Olympians in AEF's programs.

|
HOA - Hellenic (Greek) Olympians Association
|
|
|
|
HOA is a founding member of the World Olympians Association. HOA has
partnered with AEF in the promotion of the First Olympian Earth Day and has issued a declaration
of cooperation with AEF. HOA's President is currently serving as Honorary Chairman of the Board
of AEF.

NCO - Northern California Olympians
|
|
|
|
NCO is an organization that represents over 350 Olympians and Paralympians
that live and work in Northern California. NCO has issued a declaration of cooperation with AEF
and NCO's president is an honorary Board of Directors member of AEF.

OCEAN FUTURES SOCIETY
|
|
|
|
The mission of Ocean Futures Society is the research of the planet's oceans
and waters, inspiring and educating the people of the world to act responsibly for their protection.
Jean-Michel Cousteau, President of Ocean Futures and Board Member of AEF, has pledged his full
support in AEF's programs and has participated in many activities including the First Olympian Earth
Day celebration.

ECO - The Earth Communication Office
|
|
|
|
ECO, Founded in 1990, uses the power of media and communication to
improve our global environment. ECO has offered several Public Service Announcements (PSA) ,
created by some of the world's most recognized personalities, for AEF to use in its awareness
campaigns.

|
IBO - International Baccalaureate Organization
|
|
|
|
IBO was founded in 1968 is a non-profit educational institution with over
1,400 accredited Public and Private schools in 111 countries. IBO has signed a declaration of
cooperation with AEF and is supporting participation of all IBO schools in AEF's programs.

HELLENIC CULTURAL FOUNDATION
|
|
|
|
The Hellenic Cultural Foundation has the responsibility of guiding, nurturing and fostering the "Kyklos - Circle of Glory" project as an international endeavor. This tribute is a true act of love and camaraderie by all Hellenes and Philhellenes outside of Greece for the people of Greece, past and present and is depicted in the form and substance of the Olympic ethos. Kyklos creator, Euripides, "Rip", Kastaris, a USOC official artist has offered his support in AEF's programs.

BIO - Biopolitics International Organisation
|
|
|
|
BIO is a non-profit organization that was founded in Athens in 1985 to
provide programs of environmental awareness and education. BIO's President is on AEF’s Board
of Advisors and is actively supporting AEF's programs.

SAE - Council of Hellenes Abroad
|
|
|
|
The primary objective of the Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) is the unity
of all 17 million Hellenes worldwide promoting thereby the meaning of Ecumenical Hellenism.
SAE has issued a declaration of cooperation with AEF.

State of California Treasurer’s Office
|
|
|
|
The Treasurer of the State of California has issued a proclamation in favor
of AEF and is currently serving as honorary board member of the foundation.
|
|
|
|
MIO - Mediterranean Information Office
|
|
The Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and
Sustainable Development, is a Federation of Mediterranean Non-Governmental Organisations
(NGOs) for Environment and Development. It’s president is currently serving on AEF’s
Advisory Board.

NCMR - National Centre for Marine Research
|
|
|
|
Greece's National Centre for Marine Research is a governmental research
institution belonging to the General Secretariat of Research and Technology. It was founded to
promote basic research in all fields of the aquatic environment and provides comprehensive and
technical support to the public on all aspects of the marine and freshwater environments. The
NCMR has issued a declaration of cooperation with AEF and its director is serving on AEF’s Board
of Advisors.

G-ForSE
|
|
|
|
G-ForSE is a platform that highlights global
environmental action in sports. Together with the
Global Sports Alliance, G-ForSE works to increase environmental awareness for our future
generations. AEF participated at the G-ForSE conference in Tokyo, November 2003, and has
partnered with G-ForSE to support the organizations' mutual goals.

WUOC - The World Union of Olympic Cities
|
|
|
|
The World Union of Olympic Cities (WUOC) has been created to join
cities as international centers for the development of sports, cultural and international
activities that symbolize the deeper meaning of the Olympic Movement. AEF has received a
